What Is Smush?
Smush is a fun word puzzle game. The aim is to make words and score as many points as possible. Players need to think creatively to form valid words using a limited selection of letters and to control how often each letter can be used. Most letters can only be used 5 times in a game, making every decision count. Smush is a fun game for casual players and dedicated word game fans alike, thanks to its simple rules and strategic depth.
How to Play Smush
Start by looking at the letters you have and begin forming valid words. Type a Word and submit to Score Points. You may use the same letter multiple times in a single word, provided you have enough uses of that letter left. Keep an eye on how often you use each letter, as running out of key letters can make it difficult to build high-scoring words later. The game is over when you can no longer create valid words, or when all useful letter uses have been exhausted.
Controls Guide
- Keyboard: Type letters to form a word.
- Enter: Submit your completed word.
- Backspace: Delete the last letter entered.
- Mouse: Navigate menus, start a new game, or interact with on-screen buttons.
Advanced Tips & Tricks
Search for longer words, as they score higher.
- Don’t get too many of the most common letters early in the game unless you really need to.
- Look for prefixes and suffixes you can add to smaller words to make longer, higher-scoring words.
- Keep track of how many letters you have left so you don’t waste valuable characters.
- Try different combinations of letters; you may find words you missed the first time around.
