Welcome to Cutle

Cutle is a fun daily spatial puzzle that puts your sense of balance and geometry to the test. Each day, you receive a unique shape and one simple objective: cut it into two perfectly equal halves with a single straight slice.

Although the concept is easy to understand, finding the ideal cutting line can be surprisingly difficult. Shapes may feature unusual outlines, holes, gradients, or uneven sections that make the visual center misleading. Your goal is to study the entire shape and decide where your cut should go.

The perfect result is 50:50, but Cutle allows a small margin of error. Any ratio between 48:52 and 52:48 counts as a successful cut.

Controls

Cutle uses simple mouse or touchscreen controls, making it easy to play on both computers and mobile devices.

  • Mouse: Click and hold on the shape, then drag to draw your cutting line.
  • Touchscreen: Touch and hold the shape, then drag your finger across it.
  • Release: Let go of the mouse button or lift your finger to complete the cut.

You can draw your line from practically any angle. There are no complicated buttons or movement controls to learn, so the challenge focuses entirely on your spatial judgment.

Gameplay Actions

Once a daily puzzle appears, carefully examine the shape before making your move. Click or touch and drag across the shape to position your cut. When you release, the game calculates the area on both sides and displays your result as a ratio.

Your official first attempt matters because you have one chance for your daily first score. Afterward, you can retry the same puzzle to experiment and search for a better result.

Try not to assume that the most visually obvious center is the correct location. A small protrusion or empty hole can change the amount of area considerably.

Tips for a Better Cut

Take a moment to study the shape from different angles before committing. Imagine where a straight line could divide the total area into two similarly sized sections.

For irregular shapes, focus on area rather than appearance. A large-looking section may contain curves or empty spaces that make it smaller than expected. If your first attempt is close but not quite within the winning range, use the retry option to adjust the angle or position.

Practice will also help you develop a better instinct for estimating the shape's true balance.

Daily Challenges and Global Scores

Cutle introduces a new shape every day at 00:00 UTC, giving everyone the same puzzle to solve. After completing your cut, you can view global statistics and compare your performance with other players.

The daily archive also lets you revisit previous puzzles and improve your scores. Whether you're aiming for a perfect 50:50 or simply trying to beat the average player, Cutle offers a quick daily challenge built around precision, observation, and spatial reasoning.
